...i really really like this song, a lot, but something i can't quite put my finger on about that bass note is very reminiscent of early cure...something from faith or carnage visors, i think, i'm not sure...

The only connection is Grohl, in two completely different roles. I'm a big Grohl fan - for somebody who grew up in public he's remarkably level.
He was/is a great drummer but in my view Nirvana was an overrated band.
The Foos don't always hit the mark either, but when they do they're more musical than Nirvana ever was.

Gosh, I thought I was being pretty polite. I never watch Larry David, but I'll take your word for it. I can't think of a more polite way to point out they were being rude. "Don't be an asshole" is more rude, right? That's all I've got. |

I think that overrated circus-act of a frontman was choking this band off. It's nice to hear them in their proper form. I'm so sorry folks but I just don't understand why Cobain was so worshipped. He was just another self-absorbed, pissed-at-the-world child who couldn't relax and enjoy just being in a rock band. And he could not sing.
1. I think the most obviously errant part of this comment is that you seem to think that FF is just Nirvana without Cobain. FF has ONE former Nirvana member, the drummer. This isn't like comparing Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship - they're totally different.
2. I think the frontman of a hard rock band SHOULD be a circus act.
3. If you have a problem with people being disappointed with life, okay. But let's not pretend like millions of people aren't just like him (myself included, some days). If you're never self-absorbed and pissed at the world once in a while, I honestly don't think I've met another person in the world like you. It's not uppers is it?
4. The history of rock music, if it shows anything at all, is that you don't have to be the best musician to be good. Cobain expressed how a lot of people feel sometimes, in a fairly original way.
I'm sorry it's not your thing. But I think you're being pretty rude about it. |

I'm not missing the music - that's the best part. But it's coming from those other guys in the band. Thanks for being easy on me I'm sure I pissed off a lot of people with my opinion :-) |

Well, now I know better. And FF is sounding less and less like that other incarnation, these days, as well. Whether that's good or bad, I'm still not sure...

This comes in a two-cd set. The first CD is more typical FF hard rocking stuff. The second CD (from whence this song came) is very chill and lovely. |

That doesn't seem fair, as these guys are American. I would think Europe would have more than enough of its own trash to nominate.
And I, for one, really like this song. |
