I guess they're "stretching themselves" by trying to introduce melody into their musical repertoire, but Keidis' "voice" and "range" were never up to the task. When they're funky, they're funky. I'll give you that. |

6/8 Time can be called "double-waltz" or "compound" waltz time, but this is certainly not the only "waltz-based" hit of the 1990's. "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal is one that comes to mind - there are probably others. |

Lyrics very appropriate to me at this moment. Sadness. Amazed. |

I didn't get the Tull thing (re: comment below), but there at the end, it really caught me. So I rated this a little higher than I was gonna. But on its own, it's still one of my favorite RHCP tunes. I like the acoustic-y-ness of it.

Flashback to college parties, confirmed by checking release date on album. Some of those memories are fuzzy, but song connections are generally accurate.

This is a song made, played and sung from the very heart. That is all I expect from a song. A 9 to it.

Good points, all. He's credited on the album for "vocals" not "singing". I didn't think of that. But it still sucks. Fills in the gaps nicely between the good ones, though... Rock on, Bill. |

Exactly. If the only ones allowed to create songs where those who had a great 'singing' voice, how many songs would we really have? |
