This show was on our weekly to do list with my girlfriend (later my wife) it gradually got too obtuse but the first couple of seasons were very likable at the time. Sort of like Lost today with better music. I still enjoy how Angelo created a theme for each character, Laura's theme having the best melody and hauntingly right pace and ambiance.

Laura Palmer. Her portrait during the credits still haunts me. And no, it wasn't me. But I know who it was. |

Has it really been nearly 20 years since Twin Peaks debuted? I would get chills whenever this came on to open the show, and hearing it now transports me back to that time. Good stuff.

There are things you can't find anywhere. But we dream they can be found in other people.

First I found this music very intriguing, and later got introduced to the series through the music. Actually I think the tv show is not as good as the Theme song.

Just listen to the music... let it stand on its own merits ... then rate it. Forget about the tv series.

Wat-da-f...?! As impenetrable as an episode from TP itself. What a great series that was: one of the TV experiences of all time! |

::Floating Into The Night{ a treasured sound } a l s o ::Twin Peaks Soundtrack ::Twin Peaks : Fire Walk With Me Soundtrack ::The Voice Of Love ~&~ ::Season Two Music And More — FIVE Discs of Lynch/Badalamenti -not all are with Julee Cruise- { great inspiration arises~~ especially from certain recorded combinations from each effort }— SIXTY~TWO total tracks!((( the last disc mentioned above does have a ' hidden ' track( forgotten Harriet Hayward poem reading to sister Gersten's piano backing )~there is also a barbershop quartet non-lyrical tune -so it might not actually have to be counted......)))Elvis' "Summer Kisses, Winter Tears" was redone on the _Until The End Of The World_ soundtrack of varied artists~~ still- it is a fine Lynch/Badalamenti/Cruise song.........so ~there are as many as SIXTY~FOUR different tracks (( admittedly— almost a dozen of this total contain sometimes somewhat subtle variations on " __Laura Palmer's Theme__ " ~~-great inspiration_nonetheless- wondering~ if anyone has critiqued the 2007 =-~-> Season Two Music And More <~-~= Badalmenti 22-tune effort —as of yet~ ? The name of the tune sums up the TV Series - It started at the top of the mountain and then fell of a cliff. But man... those first few episodes were Great!

rtrudeau wrote: I've never seen a TV series start out so strong and then get so bad so quickly. Nevertheless, this song was and is great. Perfect for the mood of the show. It doesn't get any better than the episode with Coop administering the quote from the book of the dead. And when Heather Graham appeared, I knew it was over. Funny how the music can be the most loved memory of something like this. I'll always cherish memories of sitting on the couch with my girlfriend while the opening credits roll. |
