STFU homophobe. As it happens, Morrissey isn't gay, at least publicly, though there's plainly an element of homoeroticism in his work. And if he were gay, WTF difference would it make?

Oh, and quit molesting Marina.

What is/was wrong with that guy?

He was, and still is, an arrested adolescent with the emotional maturity of a 14yo. Great songwriter, and I used to be a major Smiths fan, but he's not the sort of guy you'd want to be stuck in the lift with. Or, if you're a woman, go out with. It's fair to say that he has 'emotional issues', but for us listeners that's a plus as his adolescent angst generates great songs.

You think I have a problem, take a look at Stingray. He keeps shouting at us in type! By the way, I give people like crocky a hard time because a lot of his comments and ratings are negative. I figure if he can dish it out he can take it.

This song is a painful reminder of the woman who broke my heart.  A cold and disillusioned 1 from the Brokingham Jury.

I could do without that vocal effect (doubled to sound like a chipmunk)...

it is quite annoying.

Isn't it fun to have these polarizing bands/artists like The Smiths, The Cure, Radiohead, Neil Young, Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Death Cab for Cutie, etc. that people either love or hate.  For some reason, I'm usually on the love side.  Anyway, it definitely makes the Comments boards much more interesting than comments on The Beatles, where it's a unanimous love-in.

Don't know which Beatles comments you've been reading, but it's hardly a "unanimous love-in" on all of them. In fact, I can't think of any bands or artists that RP plays where the comments are unanimous one way or the other. (Ok, there was one — seven years ago or so when Bill played "Justify My Love" by Madonna, the comments were unanimously that she sucked and so did the song. I think it got an average rating of 2 or something. Anyway, that's the only one I've ever seen.)

I remember that!  There were some who gave it 8, 9 or 10 so it wasn't quite unanimous but I don't think you'll ever see another track here that pulls a 1 rating of 56% like that one did...
