I'm not really a C&W fan but I do like Patsy, Hank Williams (So Lonesome I Could Cry, etc), and one or two others.

apparently a graphic designer was unavailable when they put together this album cover so a colorblind monkey was brought in for novelty

This whole album (the actual record) is one of the best sonically engineered LPs ever. Audiophiles love it for its great sound. It's on my Audiophile playlist (along with Los Lobos "Kiko..." and "Good Morning, Aztlan", Sade "The Best of", the Sheffield Labs "Track & Drum Album", Erich Leinsdorf and the LA Philharmonic's "Wagner" and "Prokofiev" album, Dire Straits "Brothers In Arms" and a few others). That, and I really like this song for its memories.

    well, interesting point of view...

Have to give it a 10, this song and both her and k.d. lang's versions of "Three Cigarettes in an Ashtray" are about as good as country gets

Patsy Cline - Crazy   ==>    Madeleine Peyroux - California Raining    ==>     Bob Dylan - Buckets of Rain    ==>    Neil Young - One of These Days

— very very good sequence!

I'm in a bar, it's sometime around 1988, and the Metal heads are holding a pool tourney and me and my buddy are tossing darts.
His soon to be wife is sitting on a bar stool watching us. Then some long haired dude goes to the juke, drops coinage, and selects a long list of tunes. . .Metalica, Cure, Black Sabbath. . . and Crazy by Patsy.
All the pool shooters were lip syncing to it!

The box also had Willie Nelson's version and it got played before the night was out too.
