She's sounds so much like Billie Holiday that you don't mind the imitation - its such a pleasing sound! - Great song too.
  Actually, I still rather mind the imitation, though I admit she's a skilled singer.

She offends the senses...especially on such a beautiful song as this. She makes it a cheap lounge floor act.

Tell me she did NOT just say that! I am shocked at such perverse filth here on Radio Paradise!

I hate it when a man touches me with a gloved hand. {#Eh}

A beautiful, haunting song and a lovely, smooth, foggy voice to do it justice.

Her name still reminds me of a gum decease.

It sure does, I was across the room away from the computer when I heard this and I thought .....Billy Holiday doing a Leonard Cohen song....how is that possible? I know they can do amazing things with technology but......{#Think}

I prefer Leonards live-version

Leonard Cohen is well ventured because all the versions that had made of its song had been all successful;  nor always it happens -   ** 8 **

I love her voice, love Leonard Cohen too. Apples and oranges, pickles and olives.She does sound like Billie. And that is a good thing.

Have to agree. Many Cohen covers are as good or better than the original.

This one? Meh.

I think he meant sublime. I might not go quite that far, but I agree with him in general--quite good!

i find her singing style monotonous, affectatious, and contrived, although the music takes me back to an earlier day, nostalgic

I agree about others doing his music - he seems a better writer than singer, IMHO. I only like him on a few of his own.

God, this is good. The Dresden Dolls do a really smooth version of this, too.
