not my fav off the album but still excellent, what makes me happy is I would expect it to get bashed by some listeners but the amount of listeners that loved his music is quite uplifting, what a great musician, thanks yall and to Bill{#Notworthy}{#Notworthy}

If it weren't so long it'd get a higher rating than a 3. Just not for me at this moment.

I know you are, but what am I?
I'm only a pompous ass to to those who are them selves the same :)
Besides, I thought you were changing the channel.

BBoA show their roots here in AFT's number, no?

Of course the blues has its ultimate origin in west African music from long ago, but this is also a case of the blues coming home to Africa. Ali Farka Toure was an enormous fan of American blues, and it shows.

Agreed that it's not AFT's finest, but I gave it a 9 b/c it was AFT nonetheless. He's incredible. More AFT, and more music from Mali in general!

I give this song high marks b/c it reminds me so much of a good friend from college. I probably haven't heard this song in a decade, at the very least the 90's. Good song, but who knows what the hell they are saying.

A pretty good song, but not as good as AFT gets. I first ran across him on a blues CD, but I don't really love the blues so I didn't pay attention. But then I found him on a world comp -- and I love Afrobeat -- and couldn't get enough of his sound. I been recently listening to his album The Source.

Thanks for the tip on your iTunes purchase, I'll check out the full CD.

I recently downloaded this album from iTunes as a result of being exposed to one song (not this one) on RP. It has been the great, new soundtrack for my life for the last few weeks. However, I would say that this song is one of the least memorable on it.
