The picture you see here listed bij calypsus was taken on this festifal. I couldn't get very close so i had to take the picture by holding the camera above my head. Still like the picture on how it came out.

It's an excellent pic, artistmarty - captures his joy at playing, and his devilish sense of humor. I love "The Thrill Is Gone" - NOBODY does it like B.B. King. Thanks for sharing this picture, calypsus_1 - and thanks for taking the shot, artistmarty. Dang, I love RP! |

Its a good job you don't have to breathe to play the violins at the end...... Luv the way it drifts off towards the end really slow and easy. Classic song 10

BB played KC a couple of months ago(with Buddy Guy)...after the show someone we know got to go backstage...BB and the boys got cleaned up fast and headed about 4 blocks West to a strip club where he just sat and laughed and handed out money for 2 hours. He was a gentleman talking with everybody.

Cool! Saw BB King live in 1975 at University of Western Ontario (UWO) campus in London, Ontario. Amazing. London had one of the best blues scenes in Eastern Canada. Fry Foggles was a regular stop for many delta and chicago blues acts. The days.... |

Absolutely agree! I have seen BB at least a half dozen times throughout his musical career. He is the consummate gentleman. So much class! He loves his audience (especially the ladies) and loves performing. Such a commanding voice. Like the roar of a lion to the sweetness of magnolias. BB is King! |

Ok, I give in. It's a Ten. "Glory Box" -> "The Thrill is Gone" clinched it for me.

I'm not seeing any ratings below a six, although I see some posts complaining about '1' ratings. God must have struck them down and eliminated all trace of their existence.
