I've never been a big fan of his solo career but I like this CD a lot.

Alison actually seems like a pretty down to earth person, and the Plant dude seems to have his own following, so I'm sure it wasn't a problem for her.

I always thought this CD was a bit overrated relative to all the accolades it received when it came out. IMHO, the parts were better than the whole.

You've written a lot better than I would have done. You've said it all   {#Good-vibes}

Mr Plant sounds damn good for 61 long, fun, and hedonistic years. Don't ya think?

Indeed.  I find myself rather enjoying every song that shuffles up on my iPod.  Much to my surprise.

There are some nice elements here, but I have to conclude that this is one big mess.

I quite like it, didn't recognize it, and now I am glad I did look it up.  this song seems to provoke a love/hate response for sure.

Okay, well that's not very good, is it?

Imo, one of the weaker songs on a superb album - but still nice.
I'd love to see 'Through the morning, through the night' on the playlist, or 'Killing the blues'. And of course, 'Gone Gone Gone'.

Only this song is good. The rest of them are ..ordinary. Nothin' is dark and narcotic. The vocie of Plant is a very, very meaningful..

It's not fair, really.  I mean, who doesn't love Alison?  And who doesn't love aging (well, maybe just plain old) British rockers?  This unlikely collaboration was supposed to be sublime for lovers of well-executed music.  But instead, these two talents churned out an album with dull, half-assed songwriting and lazy vocal performances.  It's not fair.

Too bad Townes Van Zandt couldn't shake his demons. Great songwriter.

The fuzz bridge between the whine calls for a voice like Robin Trower ala' Bridge of Sighs.

Somehow Plant's voice just doesn't work with this.

That's not a falsetto, just soft, breathy tenor.  And unlike a lot of other listeners here, I enjoy this piece.  The banjo and fiddle in the mix are nice too.

I wonder what the response to this would be if Robert Plant's name weren't plastered on it.
This is mediocre....at best.

I'm sure chicks dig it, but his singing is just too syrupy sweet for me. {#Confused} A long way from LZ 1.

Led Zeppelin reunion?

Seriously?

Who. No  really, who. On all the Earth. Would ever in a billion years. Want. THAT?

Led Zeppelin is all the "classic rock" stations PLAY anymore. Every night, nine o'clock, every "classic" station in the country, "Get The Led Out." No, please, can you leave it in? We've HEARD IT ALL. MULTIPLE TIMES. And it's OLD. And SAD.

Every time I hear a Zep song on the radio I wonder aloud, "why the hell did anyone like this band?" They were hacks. No, not true, Bonham was unique in all of rock drumming; Jones has proven himself a thousand times over *since* leaving the group, same with Plant, whose voice is far more suited for what he's doing now. Page, eeeuuuggghhh ::shudder::. Just slightly more talent than Ted Nugent. Who has none.

You made a couple marginally good points at the beginning of your rant, but when it degenerated to the Page/Nugent comment it became laughable. Guess you're trolling for outraged responses; sorry, maybe someone else will bite.
