No argument that these guys had/have a Beatles obsession ...
But there is more pure rock and roll exhilaration in the song Morning Glory than there is the entire catalogs of some bands.
One trick pony's that could have been so much better if they weren't obsessed with telling the world how "fookin great" they were...it's not about being the best band in the world it's about enjoying the music they produce. It stunted everything after the first album..then they got bitter as other, more genuine bands surpassed the sound they thought was there own. I'll admit they did do a couple of songs I liked, but the Verve for instance blew them away. |
