There are some fantastic photos there; that guy does take a lot of pictures. Apparently, Japan has two different "cat" islands .

Interesting story... the fence-jumping dog directly behind us - that they generally keep tethered - got into the yard with the new neighbor's two barkers and mauled them. New neighbor supposedly swore out a complaint, built a barrier in the corner of the fence and is talking about installing a new, stockade fence. In the meantime, she's keeping her dogs inside her house most of the time.

good. no more barking, then. still, not cool about her barkers getting mauled. nobody wants that.

Careful, Satchmo is short for "Satchel Mouth," a term given to strong horses that ate a lot. Folks thought his mouth and cheeks were so large from blowin his horn that the term befitted him.

(meaningless trivia for the day)

We're only making plans for Nigel
We only want what's best for him
We're only making plans for Nigel
Nigel just needs this helping hand
And if young Nigel says he's happy
He must be happy
He must be happy in his work
