Very cool. I had some red flats I wore to death in 1985 (inspired by Bowie's put on your red shoes and dance the blues.. .) but they weren't sparkly.

I always think that we should get TWO pairs of shoes that we love, since we will wear them out and then never find them again......

Aw!

I can no longer go barefoot due to plantar fasciitis. Birks are my house-shoes. I finally replaced a 20-year-old beat-up, scuffed, and thin-soled pair the middle of last year.

So an in look in the UK is Mary Janes or sling backs with cigarette pants/smart cropped trousers which is good for me for work although not til it warms up a bit!

Mine were bought specifically for traveling - the straps really help (no blisters!) and they pack small and light. Wouldn't have bought if I hadn't seen them in person first though.

Those sling backs will look PERFECT with cigarette pants. In college, black satin cigarette pants were one of my reliable go-to options for formal events. Add a vintage smoking jacket or vintage kimono top and it was easy, effortless, and looked like nobody else. Also, I didn't have to worry about sitting like a lady! {#Lol}

It is my work, but not a self-portrait; I would never wear a boutonnière in such a reckless fashion. There's something kind of cool about wingtips, though - I guess you might call them "brogues" over there.
