Well down on the corner they still talk about you but say they don't care
Baby you know I bruise but being polite never got me nowhere
So it's to you I move like stealing light and breathing fresh air
Some of my faces change but not my name and not my tune
'cause you know how it goes

I was assisting someone from the Virgin Islands about an hour ago and she was singing this song the whole phone call, very badly I might add! {#Lol}

I'll Be Home For Christmas, because I can't stop hearing this commercial:

wow...nice..... i sang in the chorus in several performances when i was younger....and in the house where i grew up, and old record of it was played as the ham cooked every christmas eve...my dad would admonish us to be still and silent to listen during the "he shall feed his flock" section, which had been his mother's favorite.

she had admonished her children similarly, so the tradition goes back a ways....though, when my dad was a child, it was a victrola or the wireless.

now, i play the cd while my ham cooks. and i become still and silent and listen at that part, too.

Sunday night and it's half past nine
I'm leaving one more town behind
Mirrors are showing the day's last glow
As we're spit out into the jigsaw flow

Ahead where there should be the thickness of night
Stars are pinned on a shimmering curtain of light
Sky full of rippling cliffs and chasms
That shine like signs on the road to heaven...

I've been cut by the beauty of jagged mountains
And cut by the love that flows like a fountain from God.
So I carry these scars, precious and rare,
And tonight I feel like I'm made of air...
