Had a pint with them in a pub next door to the gig venue in 1982. Nice lads. 'New Life' was never bettered.

I like the instrumental breaks in this song. Rather powerful overall. Not a HUGE fan of everything...but I do like this very much!

It's an Obama Nation.

Say it aloud fast 3 times.
(I support Barry. It is a funny right-wing joke though.)

Why do I visualize Goths whenever I hear these guys?

Because, strangely enough, DM are exponents of Goth, or rather electro-goth. Their depressive, agonised lyrics replete with religious imagery and themes are distinctively Goth, as Goth as the Sisters or the Neph but with a poppy danceable beat. To my shame I dismissed them in the 80s as disposable electro-pop and have only got into them properly in recent years, not uncoincidentally when I started listening to RP. So thanks to RP for helping me rediscover this group. An easy 9 from the (closet Goth) Nottingham jury.

I have to say that I'm always sort of amazed at the love Depeche Mode gets around RP. Though I'm not a fan, well, more power to 'em. {#Whistle}

So these are the writers for Depeche Mode . Wow, I'd swear they look like someone's
perverted uncle(s). That guy on the left ? He sure looks like he just went through a sex change (not that that's bad.) So, did they have the same mother, or father ? Is it just a rumor that they were attached at the head prior to a surgical separation? Was it successful ? Are they signifying how many times in their life the got laid ? So, what do they have to smile about ?
Neither has a father

Good tune.

Here in Canada we have a federal government that lies constantly. They don't follow the Policy of Truth. {#Sad}
