A Band Apart? Works on two levels.

This starts off mildly intriguing but becomes seriously irritating after a few minutes. If the guy sang rather than spoke the irritation factor might be reduced.

The best I've been able to find is that she was Burdon's girlfriend. Haven't found a name, tho'.

I love this song, but it doesn't completely eradicate that nagging question about whether Burdon was the real deal—and he was a very good rock'n'roll vocalist—or an opportunistic poseur. Maybe he was just a vocalist for hire (The Animals before Burdon joined were the Alan Price Band), making the best of the material he had to work with.

I am gonna BUMP this question: You mean to tell me that I am the ONLY one on Radio Paradise who knows the answer to this question?

It's a shame War didn't make the Rock Hall. Songs like this one stand the test of time.

Correct lyric: Spill the Wine , Dig That Pearl

And it is dirty - at least that's what Harold Brown told us.

The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame is practically meaningless - I'm not sure why people give any notice to inductions ultimately determined by Jan Wenner and Dave Marsh.
I believe the lyric is " take that pearl".

This overfed, long-haired leaping gnome still digs it.
