Their song Half Acre makes me cry (I'm a wuss though).

Interesting story how she came to be with the band in AMG.

This is ok, not near as cheesy as the other songs I have heard from them.

Just turn off the TV and listen to the music, maybe add a bit of reading...

I have Rabbit Songs and Eveningland and love both CDs, need to add more Hem. Absolutely worth getting.

They ARE very similar. I would say "Rabbit Songs" is *slightly* better, but there are songs on "Eveningland" that are among my favorite Hem songs.

I think "Pacific Street" is brilliant! "Lucky" is great too, as is "Hollow."

I still think "Half Acre" is probably their best song. But "Not California" from "Funnel Cloud" is also up there.

The thing about Hem is they are not breaking any new ground with each release.... but so far that's OK with me, as they are well written songs that come from the heart, with lyrical depth and have musical interest for me. In short, there is very little Hem I don't like.

I wish they didn't sell so many of their songs for commercials, but that doesn't change the fact that their music moves me greatly.

So like this but reading your review makes me wonder if I won't hear a bunch of commercials since I really don't their music other then this. Still worth getting?

Can anyone compare the two for me?

Thanks!
