unclehud May 17, 2013 - 07:15 | Today, this followed a Stevie Wonder hit (yes, I know he has dozens) that had an interesting song comment. The comment was something like this: "I wonder what the '70s would have been like if we had today's technology then." Well, I assume that Stevie Wonder would sound a lot like Gnarls Barkley. Same vibe that gets you moving, with Stevie lyrics to make a societal point. Got no idea what Diana Ross or Led Zeppelin would sound like. The Beatles' sound, of course, would not change one whit. Thanks; I'll go now. |
window May 17, 2013 - 07:10 | Cee Lo's vocals were recorded in 1 take. Impressive. |

Papa_Smurf May 06, 2013 - 11:45 | I think we can all agree there are much more appealing versions, but this is a good one as well and i will be adding it to my collection. |

vaiodon Apr 27, 2013 - 07:01 | Ah, Cee Lo Green is Gnarls or maybe Barkley. Somethng new every day, eh? |

No, it makes you annoying and repetitive. |
unclehud Mar 15, 2013 - 13:10 | I like it. Someone suggeted it has an "honest Motown feel," which I can certainly feel. It's fun, poppy, and makes me wonder why I'm not doing some sidewalk boogie in my Chuck Taylors. |
jimys Feb 23, 2013 - 08:25 | Since I've already gone crazy, I like this song. |

Tired of hearing this on Clear Channel stations and then hearing it here too? Fine — do what I do and give up Clear Channel stations. I rarely hear this song, and I love it. Even a blind squirrel occasionally finds a nut, much like the mainstream radio industry found this gem of a song. If you just plain don't like the song on its own merits, that's fine. Feel free to dislike it. But if your gripe is that you're hearing it too many places, then you need to change your environment. For me, it absolutely belongs in the RP mix, no question. Hear, hear!!!! |
superfido Feb 01, 2013 - 12:43 | I love the honest motown feel. go go go!!! |
