Just love the off beat snare.........first listen and yep I like it.
Stingray wrote: Lovely melody. This is - melodywise - how music should, no, MUST sound like! AGREED!!!

My god he had a whopper, once round the deck, one round his neck and up his a*** for a stopper. (from an old english tune often sung at Twickenham and on deck of the good ship Venus) |
Can't find this on iTunes. The CD is on Amazon - year is 1995.

I came here to comment on the song and got distracted by the Hopperania...IMHO "Speed of Life" is a nearly perfect pop song. I found the balance of the disc, hmm, so-so, but this one's outstanding.

Beautiful and introspective. This premise of 'Speed of Life' often bestows upon my ever wondering and sometimes failing brain. This song is so damn good! Rest in peace, Elaine...we are gonna miss you.

Not worse or better... just different. Thanks Bill! AVF3S is a terrific album. Thought he was a one album wonder until I caught more at RP! |
Wow this really really sounds like Sting, possibly "I'm So Happy I can't stop Crying" from Mercury Falling. I guess both songs are pretty derivative. This does not mean I don't like it of course. Good tune, good lyrics.. Edit: Thank you Proclivities, that Album cover was making my brain itch.
Love, love, love this tune. Did I mention that I like this song too?
Good stuff, this.
