Tull tunes always have the coolest bass lines.

Didn't know that was Bach. Thanks for explaining, Bill.

One of my favorite albums, and album covers. The little stand-up paper cutout in the centerfold is a reminder of the days when art designers had real artists working for them, and record companies didn't mind (well, much) paying for such things.

This is Bach and it swings
It's a Bach thing that swings
Something quick I whipped up
For all you ding-a-lings

A balad ballad
Good for you you don't hear me singing along - {#Jump}

The instrumental "Bourée" (one of Jethro Tull's better-known songs) is a jazzy re-working of " Bourrée in E minor " by J.S. Bach . in Wikipedia

I can't handle JT; reminds me of folks who were waaaaaay too much into The Hobbit and Esperanto.

I find that to be true for most of their material, but this is a good tune - nice groove.

I was 18 when Stand Up came out. Fell in love and 40+ years later Jethro Tull is still a favorite. Thank you!
