A fine groove from the Texans - I'm off for another futile twiddling with my amplifier to try to get close to that sweet guitar sound... {#Guitarist}

Why is it that the only guy in the band without a beard is named Frank Beard? That is sooooo messed up... {#Lol}

ZZ Top RULES, one of my favourite music bands!

I had a bass just like that around 1971 except Fender had reissued it as the Fender Telecaster Bass. (It had) One single coil pick up, one tone and one volume control, and a neck like a log. The tone was great.

On the surface of that comment, that sounds illegal what they're doing.

Perhaps it's because they are both from the same part of the country, but I'm hearing a lot of Billy Gibbons phrasings in many of Lucinda Williams's recordings. Wow... what a duet that would make: ZZTop w/ Lucinda on lead voca!

I am SO in the mood for this now! Long, hot day working outside (the wind had blown over all the trees and shrubs so I spent about an hour standing everything upright so I could water it - I'm still trying to understand why the guys who work at the nursery get ten dollars an hour and I work just as hard as they do and only make $8.25 an hour... {#Ask} ) I just got home, watered my garden, cleaned three litterboxes, and then came in to hear this song. Suddenly, everything is okay again. {#Meditate} {#Sunny}

Wow, calypsus_1 - that pic makes me realize how commercial the Top has become... Those trademark beards, the matching hats and ponchos... Yikes. Still, this song is very, very ZZ - stripped down, ragged and tough enough to survive a flood.

I love it.... And the segué into James Brown's "I Feel Good" is unexpected, but somehow perfect... {

Maybe went a lil commercial, but got to see them here in a real small hall Oct 2008.

Shit howdy was it fun, They don't take themselves seriously, they were just plain having fun, enjoying being enjoyed.

This is the kind of song that is perfect live, on a hot day, with a couple of beers on board. Wish I was there now . . .
