msymmes May 02, 2013 - 19:31 | And just to clarify... Wanna seem them live in concert... Don't care how old they are when it happens. msymmes wrote: Gotta put B and F on my bucket list. |
VH1 Apr 22, 2013 - 06:41 | Wow this brings back memories.... |
tupicetti Apr 01, 2013 - 16:26 | Back in the early 80's when I was still a kid and heard this song for the first time, I thought it was something like a cover of Michael Jackson's hit 'Billie Jean', which was pretty much everywhere. I am still not sure why but especially this: "Yeah, you go back, Jack, do it again Wheel turnin' round and round You go back, Jack, do it again" sounded a lot to me like this: " 'Cause We Danced On The Floor In The Round So Take My Strong Advice, Just Remember To Always Think Twice..." Of course, I didn't use to pay much attention to the lyrics (clearly) as they are not even close, but the melody sounded very similar to me... I was mind blown by what, I would know later, it was a Steely Dan's song written +10 years earlier... |
bjesch Apr 01, 2013 - 16:17 | Curious...rhythm intro had me convinced I was about to hear Jimmy Cliff's 'I Can See Clearly Now' |

hidey Jan 28, 2013 - 22:26 | Fantastic song. Surely a contender for best song ever written about addiction - if that's what it's about ;-) |

Lennyz Dec 28, 2012 - 14:05 | Can't go wrong with anything from these guys. This one is right up there, never tire of hearing this on RP. |

Steely Dan is a concert not to be missed if you get the chance which surprised me since I always thought of them as studio wizards. |
Rooney Sep 25, 2012 - 08:45 | Move over and make room for the Big Boys. Classic. Wish I could rate it a 20. |
mjmurphy61 Aug 24, 2012 - 20:47 | Perfect. |

Even the last bum has 3 cars of his own! And the rest of the world suffers water- and climate problems! |
eswiley2 Jul 24, 2012 - 10:57 | I don't know how much of my rating is because I like the song, and how much of it stems from the very warm memories of my senior year in high school that come flooding back when I hear it. I suspect the latter weighs more heavily. |
jagdriver Jul 24, 2012 - 10:55 | Timeless! 9 > 10 |
Stingray Jul 24, 2012 - 10:53 | Do I have to give my second 12... ? OK - an 11 - with room for more ! One of America's finest !!! |

I totally understand. I've seen them live, have vinyl, cd's and even their box set. Yet I can give this only an 8. |

I cannot believe I have to explain something so basic. If you still enjoy the song that much, good for you. I do not, don't try to tell me how to feel about something. This is my rating, not yours. Friggin' ratings hijackers.... |

A good song is a frackling good song. If you don't want to hear it - again so soon - turn it bleeding off. WTF oh — this is a great fucking song. if you're reaching for the dial, it's already ruined. |
