I know what you mean. I think Tom Cruise is a great actor too. One thing that perplexes me more than anything is this group and how they attract the smart, talented people they do. But all religions do that. I am sure they really mean well. As an atheist, if a religious person pressed me hard with the question "OK, fine, then where do we find meaning in life?" then I have no rebuttal - I am a bit of an "existentialist" that way. But it is incumbent on these artists to address the many serious allegations made against the church. |
