This song so brings me back to a better time. A time where my father was around...laughing and having a great time!! And as he would say...you have to follow this song with "All Mixed Up"...that is the way they are meant to be played!!! Bill...as a music person...I would think you would follow the rules :)

This song reminds me of my days of being an audiophile, back when the phono cartridge you used would suddenly bring out background instruments you might not hear on another, suchas an ortophon cartridge compared to a shure, and how different speakers would accentuate specific frequency ranges. And how BOSE stood for box only sound extra. Good times, and the famous maxell poster where the guy is getting blown away in his chair. It was a great industry at the time. Now I sit here listening on a set of powered speakers with little to no opportunity to fiddle with things except my sound card. The death of audio as I used to know it reduced to a set of earbuds. I want an I phone like the woman if front of me a tthe supermarket has while she pays with food stamps. But at least I have RP!!!!

Dude, get back in the saddle!
Vinyl still sounds better. I still have a turntable (and this album) and I play it through my original Nova 78 speakers I bought at Radio Shack in 1978.
I buy digital recordings now, mainly CD's because I like to spend money on something I can hold in my hand. I tried downloading, but I feel like it is squandered money.

Saw this Concert in 1978, shortly after High School Graduation. No wonder I had such a great time in High School.

When you know an album a little too well...I'm all set for this transitioning to "She's All Mixed Up," and it...doesn't...happen.

This sounds like a much more ambitious and fully realized song than I recall from high school. Love it when a song I've casually dismissed moves into "this deserves a closer listen" category.

Nice segue Bill, from The Shins - The Rifle's Spiral to this...!

Definitely feeling it...some Golden Goat and then some Glass Slipper and THIS...Oh yeah, and it's a fine Saturday night, to boot...
This unbelievably cool group — always so cleverly OUT THERE ...
and at the same time always so jam-edged and so totally on - the - BEAT! — came out with probably the best first two albums of all time...and any song from them can still make a hell of a soundtrack to anything! And, oh! the memories...

Just answered the age old question of "how fast can you plug the headphones in?" when this song came on.
