Oh lighten up already!

The Eagles, really? Must admit that i niver liked them and (therefore) never knew more than their "popular" songs.
This one, however, is completely new to me, and indeed an astounding discovery. Like it very much!

Re the Hitchiker series: if you haven't heard the radio series I strongly suggest you do.
The TV version was a brave attempt to add visuals, and did some things well, but was limited by a tiny budget and prehistoric FX facilities and technology.
As a little girl once said, 'I prefer radio, the pictures are better.'
Enjoy!
And remember, Resistance Is Useless!

"For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons"

Bernie Leadon was and is a terrific musician and an outstanding Banjoist. The Eagles were never the same - or as good - after his departure. Says me. :-)

Oh, man - I haven't heard this in YEARS!!! Go away, all you haters. This is classic, moody, spooky, and takes the listener on quite an odyssey. Close your eyes and use your imagination instead of your expectation.

She had it right again! I actually thought this entire album was pretty strong effort.

Dear Mr. Mumford:

This track is a demonstration of the proper use of banjos in a non-bluegrass setting. Please study it intensively, and take the lesson to heart, before releasing any more albums.

Whoa! I've been hearing this song played here on RP these past few years and never stopped to see that it's The Eagles!! This is nice — could imagine it playing well on AMC's "Hell On Wheels". It's got that old west feel, for sure....

My whole trailer park is stunned that there is an Eagles song that doesn't make us wanna' puke!

But it is still, like, three times longer than it should be.

Not a huge fan of the Eagles, but this reminds me of a "hillbilly' rendition of the "Ashes, the Rain and I," by the James Gang.

Yes, you are correct. I have not downloaded the cult favorite pop culture extensions.
