Hahaha! Hilariously well put. I never could decipher the lyrics to this song, nor cared to. I love Pearl Jam, but this is my least favorite song of theirs. It's like Eddy's channeling early Michael Stipe.

I do not profess to get PJ's music, though I really like this song. Two days in a row that I've posted positive PJ comments! Maybe I'm finally getting it...

This song is all about Mike McC and his wicked guitar skills. That's why a mumbling Ed is insignificant; it's sweet music. Check out the many live versions of this song on official bootlegs. Extra tags, singing crowds, and wicked solos. Worth the price of a PJ ticket just to hear this song live.

As Tonto said to the Lone Ranger, what do you mean "we" kimosabe(sp).

Check out Live @ Benaroya Hall or one of the many official live boots from Seattle venues to hear the love of the fans for their homeboys.

We saw PJ in Vancouver on the Backspacer tour and Eddie really ragged on Seattle fans. I was kind of surprised. They played Seattle a few nights later and by the accounts I read it was a great show with adoring fans doing their part. The show I saw was great too. They're full value, imo.

Maybe Ed's remarks were meant in jest, but it didn't come across that way.

When all this grunge music came out I thought everyone was trying to channel Smells Like Teen Spirit. But when I heard Vedder's Into The Wild soundtrack, I realized he's a natural talent with so, so much depth.

We get it, Eddie. You're good at yelling or ranting or scatting or improvising ... or just being annoying. Stop it.

...or "Little Wing". I don't think Mike McCready has ever denied the influence Hendrix had on him.

Why does that intro sound so familiar, and/or like some other song? Terrific.
