VERY smooth transition from Rodrigo y Gabriela, it was like the song just continued right into this.

Love this song, brings lots of memories, not happy ones but still ....

Another perspective. Never heard this song before and wow, just wow! Love Cash and now I have a new door to open about this song and its creator. RP is good. Live and learn.

Well-said. I still can't listen to this song without crying. Why do all the good artists have to die, while the crappy ones seem to be eternal?

Miss you so much, Cynaera...

brilliant song...

The haters seem to be a little too loud recently here, which is not reflected in the average rating. My two cents: this is a brilliant cover, truly fantastic. Transcends the original, which is also brilliant.

Agree with the posts that recognize this as a brilliant interpretation, perhaps better than the original, and the video if you haven't seen it is also excellent. If you don't know or like Johnny it may not strike you as much but those of us who understand and appreciate his place in the pantheon find the relationship of the song lyrics, performance, and visuals to his personal life to be sublime.

I'm having some work done in my house so it is pretty noisy. Turns out Bill just said, "...especially not followed up by Johnny Cash."

I thought I heard "...especially not followed up by John Tesh." I immediately ran to the window so I wouldn't miss the Four Horsemen. What a relief to discover it was only an aural misunderstanding.

Never was a cover version so much better than the original.

Never was a cover so much more overplayed than the original.

Except the damn Gary Jules cover of Mad World.

What is it about overexposure that makes one dislike something one used to like? :(

I agree with the earlier posting....this cover is much more striking than the original version.

Haunting and mesmerizing... {#Eek}
