| Sounds pleasantly in tune to me. A tune I like a lot. |

| WONDERFUL BAND - INCREDIBLE ALBUM (why always Wassiyè...?) filled with gem after gem! Mali' finest - and there are plenty great bands and singers, male and female! Boubakar "Kar Kar" Traore and Rokia Traore for example. Not to forget "Zap Mama" - though they are a bit of another story! PS ...and what about "GIGI" from Ethiopia? |

This is pretty mellow, but these guys can rock out, playing scorching runs on an string instrument I've never seen before, held flat at waist level with a drum like sound chamber and long neck held out perpendicular to the body. Anybody know what that might be? A kora, maybe? Although, I think it's usually held vertically... I don't know. |
