loved their vegas show but without the visuals their music is just so much muzak.

These guys were a lot better when they were just an obscure performance art troupe. I don't really care to hear their crap.

Me too. And the BMG are as gay as his character is.

Rated Quadrophenia an 8, by the way.

Same set today. I think both songs have their own merit. I give BMG a 7 and Who an 8....

Hmm, this isn't bad. I've never really heard anything by them and assumed, based on those rotten commercials, that they sucked. I learned something today.

Hey, I like Mannheim Steamroller for the same reason: sometimes I don't want to think about my music, 'k?

Likeable tune.

Good comment. I agree. Sometimes music can just be fun.

I still don't get it. It's like Industrial Muzak. 1. I'll take Front 242 instead, please.

No she didn't, I've just been waiting all day for an instrumental ;-)

Too bad lyrics sites don't consistently cover RP's playlist to do better than a Google link in the song info. It's not entirely unhelpful and you gotta love an enthusiastic listener--aren't we all?

My problem with BMG is not that they aren't complex or cerebral. There is a lot of really wonderful music out there which is completely simple- just look at the Beatles or Johnny Cash. My problem with BMG is that they are not interesting to me. They're a lot of show and electronics that do nothing but make otherwise boring music sound "exciting." (I could say the same thing for Mannheim Steamroller.)

I think, as previous posts indicate, that one finds him or herself liking this group because they have seen their clever and entertaining show on tour. Saw them on Leno about 12 years ago, and have liked them ever since. Saw them on tour (Complex) and they were fantastic! Also loved Tracy Bonham and Venus Hum, who (as previously mentioned) opened for them on New Orleans!

Wasn't that Dynamo Hum ?
