james_of_tucson Jan 06, 2010 - 10:47	My only gripe about Calexico is that they achieved international notariety so fast, we didn't have very long at all to enjoy them as a local act in Tucson. Bravo, boys, but It really was kind of frustrating. There was a brief period when one could see a glimmer of hope that Tucson could develop a music scene, and poof it ended. [ Reply ]

Saw them live a few times now - they must be touring all the time, or they wouldn't be in Austria (of all paces) every year or two - and they're just all-around good. Great rapport with the audience, great music, and none of the rockstar attitude. If I were in a band, this is how I'd like to perform. They're officially on my "hero" list ;-) [ Reply ]
