Superb quality guitar playing, and start to a day, thank you.

Knopfler doesn't get enough credit for his lyrics. The guy paints a vivid picture here (and on a number of other tracks on MM).

Great tune from the evocative lyrics to the organ playing the theme from "Carousel" at the start to his usual top notch guitar playing.

I amplify my original comment. Solid song, but the Live at the BBC version is roughly a trillion times better.

My old yellow Vauxhall, this song in the cassette player and my lovely girl friend sitting next to me. Those were the days. Married her long ago. Still love her very much and this song.

Several good songs on this album. Very underrated... For me it's a classic as it holds up after all these years. I still play it and enjoy hearing it in the RP rotation.... Brings back pleasant memories of different times and places around the world where this album was in the background, car, beach... Nice.

Sounds like this digital might have come from a good piece of vinyl. It is warm but crackles here and there, just like my old Rega Planar with an AKG cartridge.
