treatment_bound May 02, 2013 - 19:13 | This came out last fall, and I pretty much devoured it sitting in airports while waiting for planes to come and go. Pick it up for all the great Jam info., and you'll also get more insight into The Style Council & Weller as a solo artist than you thought ever existed! |

Catecaneverall Nov 02, 2012 - 06:28 | this is the most fabulous scene in the whole movie! juanos wrote: This is a great song that makes me remember Billy Elliot, it has a great scene where the kid is all annoyed and piss off with his old man and brother and shakes it off dancing with this song as a background. unbelievable! |

fredriley Jul 16, 2012 - 08:29 | socalhol wrote: Have you even seen the movie?! It's about more than that..... Wikipedia says: Paul Weller (of The Jam) has said that it was written about his hometown Woking as a result of his teenage experiences there. The lyrics seem very appropriate for the town where Billy Elliot is growing up in the movie. When I was growing up in Luton (an unprepossessing satellite town of London) I related to this song easily enough, as it sounded like he was singing about Luton and Lutonians. It could be about any small town with small town mentality, whose inhabitants have the consciousness of lobotomised snails and whose get up and go has got up and gone. Excellent instrumental segue from Jet — Are You Gonna Be My Girl, the start of which is very Jam-esque. Nice on, Bill :) |
SweTex Jun 29, 2012 - 11:11 | Brilliant. |

They say you shouldn't pass judgement without seeing something but Billy Elliot? I'm pretty sure that movie is going to totally suck with the exception of the angry dance scene if you shut your eyes for it. |
