clyman99 Jun 20, 2012 - 07:06 | I thought this sounded a lot like Everything but the Girl (EBTG) so I did a little digging and found this. "In the 1990s, she(Tracey Thorn from EBTG) collaborated with Massive Attack on several projects, including the soundtrack for the motion picture Batman Forever where she contributed with "The Hunter Gets Captured by the Game". Their first project together was the song "Protection" from the album by Massive Attack of the same name. She also sings on the track "Better Things". - Wikipedia |

I was just telling a young student about "emotional involvement" in a voice. I wish I had used Tracey as an example, but I did use Patty Griffin and a few others. |

Randomly chosen songs based on "preference" will never replace good taste and an even better ear! |

My friend sent me the CD of "Amplified Heart," and it's STILL in my CD player, in rotation. I like this song, too - Ms. Thorn's vocals are wonderful when backed with Massive Attack's instruments and quirky timing. Yep - good song. To quote Romeotuma (who has been scarily absent lately!), this song is SO good for the ears.... Yeah, actually pulled up the playlist to see if this was EBTG... Looks like they've been played recently! Throw my vote in for more EBTG. |
