Was never really in to midnight oil and their political BS but now garrett is a usless politician I can only guess he was well supported musically by the rest of the band, what a shame for us in oz he is still not in the music business.

Here. I came here to mention the same thing.

does anyone else hear that little riff in the background (towards the end) that's exactly like the riff in "kiss them for me" by siouxie and the banshees?

A completely different song called Bushfire was on the 52s "Cosmic Thing".

One of my favorite Midnight Oil songs ever. I love Bones' high harmonies and the way it ends

Agreed. Fantastic album beginning to end. It's a "no-skip" album.

That said, Blue Sky Mining is their opus IMHO.

This entire album was sadly overlooked. Not as accessible as Diesel & Dust (although that's nearly a given), but certainly as rewarding a listen as Blue Sky Mining - lots of cool tracks.

It's too bad the Oils broke apart, but who knows? Maybe they'll reform at some point.

Love the piano and beat of this song...as simplistic as it may be.
