I love Aretha - as I've related (countless times), I was deprived of "soul" music as a youngster, because of very bigoted parents. I didn't even know who she was until I got out of high school. Once those chains were broken, I "discovered" her, and holy cow - this woman could sing the rings off Saturn.

Well, my appreciation is better late than never. This song is a solid 10.

Following Morphine's recording, this sounds like a 78rpm record..it is a shame how 'flat' recordings were.

I tried to feel jaded about this song, but when it came to rating, I couldn't honestly give it less than 10. This is Godlike. It has a palpable sense of divinity about it.
