Explain to them that sometimes, for a short set or two, things can get loopy but overall, 95% of the time RP plays things no one else will play surprising us all sometimes(and the blending is superb)!!!!

You're right on all counts, and I feel much better today (and it seems that Bill do too)
Ciao

Huh? I was tuned into RP for all of about 5 minutes before I made that post. Just what have I been "cranky" about?

Out in the big world: I'd give it a 6 or a 7 because it's actually better than about 80% of what I hear anywhere else.

Here at RP: It's a 2, not because I dislike it, but because it gets in the way of a bunch of other good stuff I can only hear in RP world.

In some alternate 80s universe, they played this at Walter Mondale's inaugural ball. (shudder!)

Yes: to remind us about how lucky we are not to be in the '80s anymore.

So the music isn't bad enough to really hit your head against the wall.

This is not the reason I listen to RP!

The album's title certainly is an oxymoron.

Another reason why I wish in retrospect that I bagged my senior prom: 1985.

Yea, sure, why not. And how about some Ace Of Base, Nu Shooz. or Kajagoogoo. No wait........Scritti Politti.

Crummy song, but it brings back a memory of a girl I had a crush on at the time, and at least THAT is a good memory.

Heh! after Bill mentioned "80s cheesy flashback" I recognised this by the second drum hit!
