I love the way the menacing feedback and rumble melt into one of the most beautiful pieces of piano that I think I have ever heard. Then the bass kicks in around 2:00 minutes followed by beautiful violins and eventually guitar . . . all building to a fantastic closing crescendo. It's a post modern symphony. |
grant Mar 15, 2012 - 16:38 | Visionary . . . and vision inducing. |
gosvimmink Mar 15, 2012 - 16:36 | Favorite sigur ros song |

tutakea Aug 23, 2011 - 02:36 | lol... from crap to godlike - i DO understand why this is the case with Sigur Ros. for me, it´s godlike, of course! one of the very few songs where the votes´ range should go to 12! |
peregrin8 Aug 23, 2011 - 02:35 | Just the right thing to cool down in this hot European weather...love it! |

I love all their stuff . . . hoping they make it to Chicago some time in the near future. I hear they are something to behold in live performance. That is a good comparison — like Pink Floyd, Sigur Ros' album is an epic work better listened to in it's entirety and they are perhaps ahead of their time (will be better appreciated in the future). Definitely not mainstream, which is one reason I love them! |
Byronape Jul 22, 2011 - 17:56 | It's like Radiohead minus the talent. |

Not quite: they sing in "Hopelandic" which is not a language, but kind of a stadium of the song, when there are not yet lyrics to the music and the melody. On their older and very new albums, Jonsi is also singing in Icelandic and English. |

Combined, this isn't very much like Kings of Leon. You may not have noticed that this Album was released in 1997, when the Kings were still in their "Pampers" |
peregrin8 Jun 05, 2011 - 07:18 | Can't get enough. Makes me feel like traveling through the Icelandic landscapes... |
