The fact that Radio Paradise isn't broadcasted on FM is a compliment in itself, so don't mind that moron-colleague of yours...
About the song, also hearing a lot of Pink Floyd in there, but that's not a bad thing at all!

Yea, no shit! He has very few non-snorers since the 70's. {#Sleep}

The lyrics remind me of that favourite old ditty "The Good Ship Venus", the words to which I used to know off by heart and which are way too 'adult' for a family-friendly radio station ;)

This is a really cool song you would never hear on the radio.

He's a Neil Young wanna be.

This album is one of my favorites for road trips. This song always makes me wonder what the video is like. Seems like it would be an epic saga. Similar to Don't Come Around Here No More" or "Runnin' Down A Dream". Anyone seen a video for this one? {#Cowboy}

I'll say it again...

TP is an American Hero. His music is simple, beautifully melodic, and absolutely reverant to the greatest lessons taught by all of the best teachers.

This album is really, really relaxing and enjoyable to listen to.

Quite evocative of David Gilmore's On an Island

What a keen observation; I agree completely.

Normally, my skin crawls at the sound of his voice. But this isn't too bad.

Hmm.... Pink Floyd?

Tom's been listening to the production values or the song structures?

I kinda like Tom Petty.

A bit bad boy, cocky, a bit psychedelic, a bit counter-culture, slightly cranked up contemporary American folk music, simple, good song structures, nice melodies.

Tom sings better than Dylan or Cohen though I suppose that's not saying much.
