ziakut Apr 18, 2013 - 11:43 | I kinda like this tune by Wilco. I personally feel that his voice is mixed just a tad too high for the mix. Almost as if he's singing in your ear with a band playing in the other room or something. |

Good song writing, I s'pose, but a steady dose of Wilco would make me want to smother my brain with tequila and contemplate jumping on to subway tracks. Give a listen to their earlier albums. You won't be disappointed. |

calypsus_1 Feb 23, 2011 - 21:34 | Wilco performing "Sky blue sky". Oh, the band marched on in formation The brass was phasing tunes I couldn't place Windows open and raining in Maroon, yellow, blue, gold and gray The drunks were ricocheting The old buildings downtown Empty so long ago Windows broken and dreaming So happy to leave what was my home With a sky blue sky This rotten time Wouldn't seem so bad to me now Oh, I didn't die I should be satisfied I survived That's good enough for now With a sky blue sky This rotten time Wouldn't seem so bad to me now Oh, if I didn't die I should be satisfied I survived That's good enough for now |

I've posted this on some of the other songs from this CD, maybe this one, not sure...but while I love all things Wilco, this CD really has a special place for me as it was sort of the soundtrack to a very difficult part of my life. There are lines like this scattered all throughout this album. |

That's a great suggestion, I'm sure it would pick up their spirits, just like it does for most of us. I base that opinion on the rating for the song. I'm sure if they pumped RP into the PA system of an old folks home it would be great for the seniors and the staff. |
