cayenne Jul 01, 2010 - 21:07 | This is such a good album. I wouldn't have heard of it if not for RP. |

realsleep Sep 20, 2009 - 21:02 | This guy is one of the best musicians I've heard in years. His songs are like mini-epics, with a beginning, middle, and end. So much is happening in these songs, even though they on the surface are like other repeating-lyric pop tunes. I just love the subtle transitions he hides throughout his songs. |

Anyway, very dope chopped beats on this one. Gotye is a very dynamic musician! I too thought it sounded very similar to Fatboy for the first 35 seconds or so. Then the song became so much more. Almost three songs in one. But in a good way. |

It's a good cd, and I'm glad I got it. He's quite talented! seconded. I ordered it too, no problems, and Wally sent it very promptly. |
bugleboy624 Feb 11, 2009 - 11:58 | I loved the beginning of this one, but the middle part really lost me. 6 |

Pyro May 08, 2008 - 08:20 | I love the instrumentation, the shawm (?) and the percussive accordion notes in the background. This sounds like a band that Peter Gabriel might have on his label. A good thing, IMHO. |

If you like this sort of thing and are planning any road trips, do yourself a favor and pick this up (I found a new copy on eBay for $15, plus modest shipping). Very cleverly done overall and as background music for driving it's superb. I think this song is kinda Beck-ish, the others not so much. And it is good road trip music - got it just in time for a 1700 mile Easter break trip. I got it it direct from Australia - about $21 with shipping and it came in just a few days. |

michaelgmitchell Mar 01, 2008 - 07:33 | Just settling in for another Saturday of school planning, marking here at home - and RP keeping me company, of course.
Who IS this? I can't keep track of the number new sounds I've heard here since listening regularly for the last few months. Love the groove of this artist. Must do some research. |
