It's obviously you, not me thinking in such categories. Why should I not say that I dislike Spanish music?

What I really hate (!) is the consummate loss of what has once been called "freedom of speech".

Why you chose me from a not-so-small pool of those who obviously dislike them?

Because I am German...?

It works best to ignore him and let him feed on his young.

Had the pleasure of photographing these two amazing musicians live in Denver, a mind blowing duo/show, you can see photos and video here: http://www.gonzoshots.com and here http://www.flickr.com/photos/gonzoshots/sets/72157629801580273/

Not this one, but some of their music does. I just watched it again last night with the kids.

If R&G were played in elevators I wouldn't get off at any floor, and I and the other lift occupants would be dancing like crazy. Say what you like about this pair, but their music sure has zip and energy and could no way be considered to be background muzak. I'd love to see this pair live, I really would. The musicianship and brio is just extraordinary. 9 from the Nottingham jury.

You might check with Romeotuma. Much experience w/ hotels, I hear, so perhaps the same w/ elevators? Bound to be one somewhere playing this.

The duo I'd like most to see in an intimate setting, although I probably blew any hope years ago, sadly. Love their output.

Saw the live a few years ago in NYC; amazing band, amazing song. I'm so glad Bill likes RyG :)

It sounds to me a bit more 'con' than 'brio' to me, but if thy're your cup of rioja, they used to live in Ireland (may still do so) but they are on an extended break due to injuries to Gabriela caused by her percussion on the guitar.

They would need to serve food in the elevator, too, or we would all collapse! You definitely need to see them live, they are unbelievable.

Wow, I'm not hearing that at all - must really be buried in the tune.

Way too much of this bombastic, one-dimensional outfit here on RP. There are dozens of great flamenco / Spanish guitar recordings out there if you really want to touch on that genre. Of course few of them are young hipster couples, but we are about the music, right?
