1wolfy Mar 06, 2013 - 14:25 | There is a new CD out now..I need to get it.. |
1wolfy Jul 27, 2011 - 13:44 | This one reaches into the depths of innermost sorrow...nicely compiled |
westslope May 01, 2011 - 11:17 | P.S.
This is my favourite road music these days. Always afraid of missing the exit. |
westslope May 01, 2011 - 11:16 | Anybody who likes the Tree should buy this CD and commit to a few listens. Fellow PT members are big contributors. |

This CD is more of an acquired taste. But I'm floored at how it grows with subsequent listens. Westslope, I will pick this up as well. Burningshed has On the Sunday of Life in CD digipack and it is the only album I have of theirs that is not on CD but rather mp3. Steve tends to be a lot more experimental and daring on his solo stuff. Sometimes this works very well. |

I'm trying to figure out why only this track and "HK" get played.... Good question. I haven't listened to the CD with that in mind. This CD keeps growing and is now competing more effectively for attention with The Incident . |

From everything I have ever read about him (over the course of many years), he can't read music and doesn't even know the names of most of the chords that he is playing on his guitar . It's an instinctive thing with him (much like my brother and my son- give them any instrument and 6 hours and they will be able to play it pretty damned well). According to Wikipedia (for whatever that's worth), he did take guitar lessons for a while when he was a s(prog). Still, pretty amazing when you consider how complex some of his compositions are. |

Got to have it if you love this band. Do you think more of the tracks - other than the 2 RP plays - would be appropriate for RP? I'm trying to figure out why only this track and "HK" get played.... |

Needless to say, it is blowing my mind. One of those "every album I listen to after this will suck for a while"-type deals. Wilson's name, as proven by his compositional mastery, should be uttered in the same breath as Mahler, Shostakovich and Prokofiev. A musical genius. lewie221 Aug 31, 2009 - 11:30 | I highly recommend shelling out for the physical version of this album (archaic though that is) because of the bonus DVD. The DVD has a 5-channel mix of the album that rivals the 5-channel version of Beck's "Sea Change" for sheer head-fillingness. Turn off the lights, lie in the middle of the floor and sink into it. Awesome. |

I don't have it (just the cd), but Youtube it and you should be able to find it. It's entitled "Insurgentes - Mexico" or some-such. |
