Yes absolutely. But now that I've heard this song for the 5-6th time I want to say to this guy "FFS, stop carrying that torch. You're just setting yourself on fire. Find someone more deserving."

Yeah...the lyrics of this can call to mind, body, heart and soul the avalanches, tidal waves, epic floods of all kinds of heartache and despair of the types and depths that perhaps only Truly Hopeless Romantics know... An EXCELLENT SONG, and amazing to see them do it live!

I never really listened to the lyrics until recently. This is heartbreaking. Anyone who's ever been through this should instantly understand what the feeling being described.

Sniff.

Actually, I use the term "pissed" for expressing anger and being intoxicated

Ditto. Although I have found that using the term "schloshed" expresses the latter without confusion.

When Canadians say "pissed" does it mean "angry" like in American English or "intoxicated" like in British English?
Either way, the answer to your question is "yes", so would you please return the favo(u)r and answer mine?

Ha! Good point. I meant angry as hell. Could be a bit of the second meaning too in this case...

This Canadian uses pissed off when ticked off, maybe sometimes just pissed. I use pissed more often to describe being drunk. I also think of pissed whenever I hit the PSD button at RP

The guy can sing, but it sucks when he's holding back - trying to achieve some "style" perhaps? Let it rip, dude! THIS IS ROCK-N-ROLL. =3
