I find her voice interesting and a bit of a refreshing change. She no Loreena McKinnet though.

I wonder how this can get a 7.1 and Loreena McKennitt get a 6.5 — surely not on the basis of originality and talent! I hate to write negative comments but just couldn't help myself this time ... sorry.

Without Loreena McKennitt, independent woman singer-songwriters would have no better publication prospects than they had in the 1970s. Loreena's impact on the business was far greater than just her artistic contribution. She's quite humble about it.

Why am I hearing more and more country-tinged stuff here? I think there's an infestation, please Bill, call an exterminator quick.

I'd love to hear a collaboration between Antje and Dar Williams.

(knowing full well what WXPN can do to a person)

To call this fine song 'crap' is an overreaction.

So you are fine with a token female artist here and there, but they better not ask for something nearing equal treatment with males. Ain't it a shame they got the vote too! Gee it's 2009, but I keep running into people who'd like it to be 1809.

Whose is the male backup vocal on this track? Sounds familiar...?

Richard Shindell? Or John Gorka, who is also credited with harmonies. She also tours with Ellis Paul. So she's pretty connected, it seems! {#Group-hug}

I used to stream a quasi public radio station out of the Philly area - WXPN.

Enjoyed it most times - great countdowns of 885 songs, albums and artists - they are 88.5 on the FM dial.

Anyway - I stopped listening when they started overweighted the folksy female (yes I'm sorry) singer songwriter genre to be 35 -40% of the playlist.

I can take it in RP level doses which are probably 10-15% depending on who you include (Neko Case? Loreena McKennitt, definitely this)

not my fave type of music - I give it a 4 for execution
