I thought you just told us yet another stellar, little anecdote about a time in your life, spurred somehow by the music you've heard and we all are sharing here (RP). I'm a Torontonian myself, at least since '75, and I love to visit Montreal. So, it does my heart some good to hear your kind words re: my fellow Canadians, and that you found solace here when needed. All good stuff. We can never have too much of that! There are, after all, bastards lurking everywhere, most often, only if we give them reason to be. And as for this song...never heard it before. Love it! The harmonies grabbed me. Go figure, I have to listen to an American internet radio station to discover a song by a group from my own back yard (so to speak).
