Ahh, yes, I remember this coming over the system as we sat down around the campfire up at Rainbow Lakes on the flanks of Indian Peaks, summer of '87, I think it was; I was wrapping the curried shark steaks with foil and laying them into the coals...Mad Scientist from NIST Johhny eL went to crank up the speakers in his Jeep, and myself and members of The Mushroom Party REJOICED AT THIS...

Hypnotic hook and exotic guitar for sure, and good lyrics, but song is too long, imo.

Everybody in my church loves this song...

John 6:55 — For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

Every time I hear this song, I see the opening scenes from Charmed.

It's stuck.

What would the Middle East be like if Morrisey was leader? Robert Smith in charge of Iran? Peter Murphy gets Afghanistan.

There are HUNDREDS of other Smiths songs...!!!!!

this is a great classic, for sure, but it doesn't represent what they did & who they were. They were some of the very first of the "jangly guitar" music that began in the '80's - a true original and genius band.

I have tickets to see Johnny Marr in March 2013 in Brighton.

I can hardly contain myself.
