Yeah, it is kinda weird. I can easily see you wrapping gifts, btw.
If someone comes over with a bottle of wine or something for the dogs, I'm delighted. Otherwise, I'm difficult to please and I have to don my delighted face no matter what's wrapped. And there's the whole do I open it now or save it for later? I may or may not have a retaliatory gift for the giver. Or if you're invited over "to exchange gifts," I feel like I'm going into battle. It's just uncomfortable for me.

Well, I worked in retail for awhile, so wrapping is an activity in which my thinly-veiled low-grade OCD can find full expression. It is kind of silly that we all go to the trouble, but it's a little weird that we buy each other all this crap once a year anyway, so silly is relative.
