If someone comes over with a bottle of wine or something for the dogs, I'm delighted. Otherwise, I'm difficult to please and I have to don my delighted face no matter what's wrapped. And there's the whole do I open it now or save it for later? I may or may not have a retaliatory gift for the giver. Or if you're invited over "to exchange gifts," I feel like I'm going into battle. It's just uncomfortable for me.

I can't possibly be the only soul who feels this way!
