A friend and I mapped our yards through Yardmap. It was fun. Also the National Wildlife Federation might be a resource.

Yes, and I bet if you will feed them, they will come.  Get some of those metal poles with hooks on them to hang birdfeeders until the trees grow.

So in case you missed it, we're desperate to bring wild birds back into our life. Pearland is flat and nearly treeless, so we're afraid that it will be a challenge- no roosting space for the little guys. I've been all over the web trying to figure out if songbirds even live in Pearland, but I can't anything. Does anyone know of a good site for pinpointing where songbirds congregate? Something with maps would be great.

I think it's about time to move this bird feeder before the branch breaks entirely (it used to be parallel to the ground). The ivy might be what's holding it up at this point.
