i wonder if it is a matter of time.   I also have a business in the building, it is pretty small so it hasn't been a problem (yet), but i'm not allowed.

i hate this feelng.   not comfortable where I live.  been there so many times.  it is a great place though, low noise, lots of light and space, easy laundry....   great location!

don't let them push you around. you did nothing wrong.

that I will be intimidated so much that I won't feel comfortable unless I do.  
a couple years ago someone said that my cat gets out and roams the hallway.   she never runs out.  turns out this person is afraid of cats and I live next to the elevator so she noticed i have one.   now she is on the board.   she got after me a couple of times about my cat and had them put notices out saying pets are not allowed in halls without a leash.   she never let up about my cat.... and btw, I can leave my door open and my cat has absolutely no desire to go out there without me. it was ridiculous, but this woman is crazy!

they can't make you move out for this. or do you mean you'll want to move out?

I feel like she is going to make it so I can't take my bike up without a lot of trouble.   that they are going to make it so I have to move out.  it is this building more than ny it seems. 

Isn't that kind of behavior (more) common in NYC?  Don't waste a second feeling bad because of someone else's bad attitude

i was just waiting to go up in the elevator with my bike.   a woman I have never seen before begins to wait with me and asks smugly if I am supposed to use the basement entrance with my bike.   i told her that after 10:00 yes.   she asks, 10:00 in the morning, I say, no, 10:00 at night.  
(this is what I understand to be true).

then she got in the elevator and quickly shut the door.   i pushed the button and the elevator opened again and I got on it.   if she wanted to go up alone she could have asked, and i was waiting first.  I said nicely that i have been waiting a while for the elevator.  I then told her nicely while in the elevator that I would like a spot in the bike room but there is no room.  she with a smug air like before said oh.    i am quite shaken by this for some reason.
