I think they were pushing the suspension of belief to much when the village was really just in M2's mind and the "holes" were her not having a tight enough focus to hold the mirage together, that and everyone in the village was in her "dream" to be "fixed" etc. It reminded me of the Monty Python skit where people lived in an imaginary hi-rise and whenever someone would start to doubt its existence it would start to collapse and fall down.
They did leave it open for a sequel or series though. Wonder if it will ever get any further.
That being said, the original was so much better.

Just watched the last two eps. They sure changed everything including the reason for the village itself. They should have just done as a stand alone project not having anything to do with the original series. The original was miles better. Also, did anyone else notice the Penny farthing bicycle they snuck in as a homage to the original? I thought it was cool that the cabbie guy was also in Jericho, a show I really liked.

I just rewatched the first original episode (the link that was posted here earlier) and it's so much better. The subtle humor is wonderful. The new one seems so deadly (dull) serious. I got through two of the new episodes.

Well, if you'd been watching The Prisoner on AMC for the last 3 nights, in the Asheville area, you woulda seen it about 500 times.

I haven't seen the original. But this just felt tepid to me. I didn't particularly care about the characters.
And much of it seemed like they were doing weird just to seem deep and evocative. (All food is in wrap form - WTF?)

Go watch the original, B. It was so much better, and didn't have to try half as hard.
