Always good for a set-down on the deck, overlooking the river, when the whole afternoon can be wasted.

I'll miss him.

His writing belongs to a different time and he was the best of his type.

I jus read it in my newspaper, sad, one of the best in the PI genre (and I liked the new series of books, maybe even better than Spenser!)

So weird every time I see his name because my dad's name was Robert A. Parker. He loved his books. RIP Mr. Parker.

So too bad. I've often wound up in the Parker section of the mystery stacks at the library when I couldn't settle on anything else and have never been disappointed. The Spenser novels are great but I've also really enjoyed the Sunny Randall books and even the Jesse Stone stories on TV with Tom Selleck.
